Maurizio Chiovaro

General Manager

Maurizio Chiovaro is the General Manager of Bob’s Steak & Chop House New York where he is responsible for overseeing the restaurant’s operations and staff. Born and raised in Sicily, Maurizio developed his love for food while watching his grandfather prepare their family meals during the holidays. As an experienced restaurant operations leader, Maurizio’s goal is to provide each of our guests with a dining experience worth remembering.

While you’re here, be sure to try Maurizio’s favorite Bob’s meal, starting with fresh crab cakes, blue cheese salad and the KC strip (medium rare) with the skillet potatoes. From the moment you walk in the door to when you take your last bite of Bob’s Classic Bread Pudding for dessert, Maurizio and the entire Bob’s New York City team prioritize customer service and quality food above all and are here to help facilitate a best-in-class dining experience for every guest.

Lon Kivell

Executive Chef

Chef Lon Kivell serves as the Executive Chef of Omni Berkshire Place. In this role, Chef Kivell oversees the luxury hotel’s culinary operations – including Bob’s Steak & Chop House – as well as banquets and in-room dining. With over 23 years of experience, Chef Kivell began his career as a butcher and Saucier at the Hotel Pierre, later leading a successful career through the ranks of the Park Central Hotel, The Regency Hotel, The Westin Grand Central, and the W New York.

Chef Kivell earned his Culinary Arts degree from the Culinary Institute of America and currently lives in New York with his wife and their three children.
