Bob’s Steak & Chop House Edinburg is located in The Shoppes at Rio Grande Valley, just off US Highway 281 in the heart of Edinburg. The location is minutes away from the Bert Ogden Arena where the RGV Vipers basketball team calls home. Apart from seeing this NBA G League Champions in action, many concerts and events also take place there. The HEB Park, home of the RGV Toros, is also very close by, making Bob’s in Edinburg a perfect location to eat before attending any event.
Bob’s Steak & Chop House has several private dining rooms, but one, in particular, holds a very special meaning. The Lenox Lounge is a very intimate area that includes a romantic fireplace as well as a wall decorated with old spurs and horseshoes. The room is so named to honor Bill Lenox, the former owner of Bob’s, who passed away before the Edinburg location was opened. The decor of old spurs and horseshoes were a part of his special collection which is proudly displayed to commemorate his memory.

Juan Luis Mussenden
Juan Luis Mussenden is the General Manager of Bob’s Steak & Chop House Edinburg. A native of Puerto Rico, Juan Luis grew up with a passion for baseball. At the age of 19 he was drafted by the Cleveland Indians, but decided to return home to finish school. Juan Luis was fortunate and started working at one of the finest steakhouses in the country, where he discovered his passion for fine dining and elegant wines. After eight years at one of the most prestigious restaurants in South Texas, he earned many awards including the Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator. Now as the General Manager of Bob’s in Edinburg, he is thrilled to lead a dedicated and professional staff that is committed to providing an outstanding dining experience. Juan Luis loves to meet new people every day and introduce them to Bob’s and provide them a dining experience they will fall in love with.
Fernando Perez is the Executive Chef of Bob’s in Edinburg. He is from Guanajuato, Mexico and has been a Texas resident for many years. Fernando is a young culinary veteran with 18 years of experience refining his culinary craft, 14 of those years which have been spent at Bob’s Steak & Chop House. After working in several gourmet restaurants, he started making salads at Bob’s in Plano and worked his way up to the now coveted position of executive chef. He moved to the Rio Grande Valley to open Bob’s new location in Edinburg, Texas and spread his passion in the kitchen even further. Fernando loves cooking and calls it art. He treats his kitchen team like family which brings him closer to replicating his favorite eating environment; his mother’s kitchen. This signature hospitality and his careful selection of all prime cuts make for an unforgettable dining experience that will leave you wanting to come back.
